When Naquita first connected with New Mexico Christian Children's Home, she was carrying the weight of being a single parent while trying to pursue an education and build a better future for her family.
Like many parents facing difficult circumstances, she wasn't sure how she would make it all work.
"I didn't know how I would pay for school. I didn't know who would support us," Naquita recalls. "But I prayed, and I trusted."
What happened next changed her life. Through the support, stability, and Christ-centered community she found at New Mexico Christian Children's Home, Naquita was able to focus on her education while caring for her family.
Today,
In just one year, she completed both her associate's degree and bachelor's degree, graduating magna cum laude. Today, she is preparing to begin graduate school. But her transformation wasn't only academic.
"The New Mexico Children's Home gave me the stability and peace I needed to focus on my education," she says. "It also helped me grow spiritually and emotionally in ways I had not anticipated."
Naquita describes finding more than practical help. She found encouragement. She found guidance. She found people who genuinely cared about her future.
"Through the program, I learned how to set healthier boundaries, deepen my relationship with God, and understand myself in ways I had never fully explored."
Looking back, she sees God's hand throughout her journey.
"In those moments, I truly felt God working through the people around me."
