Description: The logistics worker is a full-time position reporting directly to the logistics manager. The logistics
specialist is responsible for performing various tasks as assigned, all of which support NMCCH programs
and general operations. Tasks may include but are not limited to commissary support, logistics work,
cooking, transportation, custodial work, loading, unloading, and stacking boxes. Logistics workers can
differ in responsibilities. One may take the role of a specialist while another takes to role of the assistant.
The logistics worker, who is a specialist, will take additional responsibility. For example, he/she may check
out and maintain NMCCH vehicles. He or she will cover for the logistics manager if needed. Logistics
worker assuming the assistant role will need to be flexible in their 40-hour work week and be flexible in
the type of work they are willing to perform. Logistics supports all the major ministries at NMCCH. The
logistics specialist, whose major role is vehicles and transportation will make themselves available
for transportation needs after office hours. For this reason, they will be provided housing on the main
campus.
The Logistics Worker's work area is within the main campus and responds to NMCCH's different
transportation needs. Logistics Worker do not qualify to work from home.
Required
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work with others
- Professional presentation and attitude with coworkers, clients, vendors, and the general public
- Ability to successfully and efficiently perform assigned one-person jobs that may vary from week to week
- Ability to repetitively load, unload, stack, and organize inventory similar to a grocery stock worker
- Logistic workers who serve in the grocery room need the ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly
- Must live on the main campus
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred
- 1+ years of related experience in logistics
- 1+ years of experience in commissary operations
- Additional Requirements as required under CYFD licensing
- Proof of academic records
- Successful completion of a national criminal records background check (to include fingerprinting)
