Celebrating New Beginnings
Because of partners like you, these young women are stepping into bright futures.
“The love, support, and guidance I found through NMCCH has truly helped save my life in so many ways.”
– Alyssa
This spring, we’re celebrating four graduates whose stories your generosity helped write.
We want you to meet each one.
Alyssa
A heart for teaching
Through the Single Parent program sustained by the support of friends like you, Alyssa found far more than a safe place to live.
She found a church family, strong role models, and a faith she rededicated her life to.
“When I became part of this ministry, my life truly began to change,” she shares. “I met so many people who helped guide me on my journey and encouraged me to rededicate my life to God. Being surrounded by strong role models and people who genuinely care about me helped me grow into a better daughter, student, and sister.”
Today Alyssa teaches Sunday School, participates in LTC 1 Bible Bowl and Signing, and helps at 4-H 2 events. This fall she heads to Grand Canyon University to study Elementary and Special Education.
“Today, my life looks very different,” Alyssa says. “I am on my way to college, I have straight A’s in school, and I have a heart for serving God and others. The love, support, and guidance I found through NMCCH has truly helped save my life in so many ways.”
Every prayer you’ve prayed, every gift you’ve given has helped bring Alyssa closer to this moment.
Gabrielle
Building a business and going back for more
Gabrielle came to New Mexico Christian Children’s Home's Young Adult Ministry ready to work hard. Support from partners like you gave her the chance to do exactly that.
She earned her aesthetician’s license from Clovis Community College, is already building her own nail business, and is heading back to Eastern New Mexico University for a business degree – because she wants the skills to grow what she’s started.
Generous friends like you fueled that determination.
Katherine and Jacqueline
Growing up at NMCCH
This season, we’re celebrating two young women who grew up right here at NMCCH as children of house parents – not as clients, but as part of the family your support has built.
Katherine heads to New Mexico State University Global for Marketing and Business. She’s participated in 4-H, LTC, and community service, and currently serves as New Mexico Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America Vice President of Public Relations.
Her sister Jacqueline is graduating a full year early.
A powerlifter, cheerleader, NHS member, and Bible study participant, she plans to study biology at ENMU before pursuing marine biology at Unity Environmental University.
These sisters have lived as part of the NMCCH family for nine years. Their faith and drive to serve were shaped here, and friends like you played a part.
None of these stories happen without faithful supporters like you.
Because when Alyssa walks across that stage… when Gabrielle opens her business books at ENMU… when Katherine and Jacqueline toss their caps in the air – your prayers and generosity will be all over those moments.
Thank you!
