Because of friends like you

Gabrielle came to New Mexico Christian Children’s Home’s Young Adult Ministry ready to keep working hard toward the future God was opening before her.

When she first heard about the Ministry from a friend, Gabrielle was in her second year of college. She had just moved out of her parents’ home and was trying to manage school and work while living fully on her own. It was not easy.

After applying, she received the news that she was accepted and could move in. “I was so excited,” she said, “because I could continue going to school, working, and not have to pick survival over my education.”

That stability changed so much for Gabrielle. With the support of friends like you, she was able to keep going to school, purchase her very first car by herself, and complete the Esthetician Program at Clovis Community College, as a first-generation graduate in her family.

Today,

She has earned her aesthetician’s license, is already building her own nail business, and plans to return to Eastern New Mexico University to major in business — because she wants the skills to grow what she has started.

Looking back, Gabrielle says the program has given her opportunities she never takes for granted.

And for the partners who made this opportunity possible, Gabrielle’s thanks is heartfelt: “I will never be able to pay back this program or the sponsors that have allowed and given me the opportunity to grow — not only my education, but myself. THANK YOU SO MUCH, and I pray God continues to pour into your cup and it never run dry.”

Because of your generosity, Gabrielle did not have to choose survival over her education. She had the stability, support, and encouragement she needed to keep moving forward — and today, she is building a future with confidence, gratitude, and hope.
