Alyssa's Story

Because of friends like you

Through the Single Parent program sustained by the support of friends like you, Alyssa found far more than a safe place to live.

She found a church family, strong role models, and a faith she rededicated her life to.

“When I became part of this ministry, my life truly began to change,” she shares. “I met so many people who helped guide me on my journey and encouraged me to rededicate my life to God. Being surrounded by strong role models and people who genuinely care about me helped me grow into a better daughter, student, and sister.”

Today,

Alyssa teaches Sunday School, participates in LTC 1 Bible Bowl and Signing, and helps at 4-H 2 events. This fall she heads to Grand Canyon University to study Elementary and Special Education.

"Today, my life looks very different,” Alyssa says. “I am on my way to college, I have straight A’s in school, and I have a heart for serving God and others. The love, support, and guidance I found through NMCCH has truly helped save my life in so many ways.”
