We regularly and devotedly endeavor to ever more deeply understand and live by, what it means to love God with all of our hearts, to love others as ourselves, to do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God.

We pray every day that God will help us, each alone and all together, to show His love to the world.

At NMCCH we endeavor to grow collectively and as individuals, thinking of our values and teaching them by example in the following terms:

  • To love God is to live joyously in relationship with Him with integrity and honesty as I allow His Spirit to guide and empower me to become the authentic person, He created me to be, striving to obey His commands and to align my life with His Will and values.
  • To love others means I make time to value people and treat them the way I want to be treated, that I am devoted to kindness in my dealings with them, that I place their needs above my own, and that I desire what is truly best for them.
  • To do justice means I do what is fair and right in God's eyes. It means that I live in a way that honors people who are created in God's image, that I protect those who are powerless, and I restore the lives of those who have been marginalized or victimized.
  • To be merciful is to be benevolent toward the poor and powerless, to show grace and have forgiveness for others when I have the power to hurt them, and to have compassion on the hurting even when I believe they have made poor choices.
  • To walk humbly with God is to acknowledge that He is the source of my abilities and my resources, to be gentle and modest while using the gifts He has given me, and to know that even though I can only give myself, this is enough.
